Thank you for considering me as your wedding photographer at the stunning St John the Evangelist Church and afterwards at the Malmaison Liverpool.
It was lovely chatting with you both earlier. Just to make sure we’re on the same page, I’ve popped together a quick summary of my notes below. Have a read when you get a chance and let me know if I’ve got anything wrong or missed anything.
- You’re planning a relaxed, non-traditional wedding day, with no sit-down wedding breakfast and a more informal style of food.
- You’re drawn to natural, candid, documentary-style photography rather than lots of posed or staged shots.
- You liked my work and approach because it feels relaxed, friendly, and in line with your values.
- You’d prefer to keep formal family photos to a minimum, possibly just a few with immediate family. If we do these, you’d like them to be quick and unobtrusive, and you’re open to more creative or informal alternatives instead of traditional lineup shots.
- After the ceremony, you’re planning to head off fairly quickly for couple photos rather than staying around for a long photo session. These will be informal, walk-and-talk style photos around the Albert Dock, the Liver Building, and the Waterfront. As you’ll have a car, we’ll sort out the logistics nearer the time.
- You’re more interested in capturing real moments and certain angles than recreating exact reference images. We can go through inspiration together on a Teams call closer to the wedding.
- You’re not currently planning on having a videographer, as being filmed wouldn’t feel very natural for you. I mentioned that I can also offer short 2–3 minute highlight videos as an optional add-on if that’s something you’d like to explore.
- You mentioned that a couple of friends or family members will be taking informal photos during the drinks reception.
- You love the look of both the newly refurbished church and the Malmaison. Just a heads-up that the Malmaison lighting is usually quite dark and moody, so I may need to use flash there to get properly exposed images.
- You’re not planning confetti shots or traditional staged photos at the moment, but this can always change nearer the day if you decide you’d like something fun like sparklers.
- Overall, your main priority is a relaxed, low-key day that flows naturally and feels true to you, rather than sticking to tradition.
I’m excited about the opportunity to capture your special day exactly the way you envision it.
The full breakdown of what’s included in the package is listed at the bottom of this page. My package add-ons can be found here and I've included some of the more popular options at the bottom of the page. There is more information about me here and you can read more about my approach to wedding photography here.
I’d love to hear your thoughts when you’ve had a chance to look everything over. And just as I say to all my couples, there’s absolutely no pressure to book. If you decide I’m the right fit, just let me know and we can secure your date. And if you choose someone else, that’s completely fine too. As my grandad used to say, worse things happen at sea. The most important thing is that you do what feels right for you both.

Common FAQ
What deposit do I pay?
A non-refundable deposit of £200 is payable to secure the date.
When is the final payment due?
Your final balance is due 30 days before your wedding day. I also offer the opportunity to pay in instalments up to this date if it helps. I accept BACS or PayPal (3% fee applies) payment.
How do we book?
Drop me an email or give me a call to discuss any questions you may have or changes you want to your tailored packages. When you are ready to book I will send you a contract to review.
How can we ensure you don't lose our photos?
Don’t worry, I’ve got this. I shoot with professional cameras that each have dual memory cards, so every photo is backed up instantly. Plus, I always keep a third camera in the bag just in case. After your event, your photographs are saved to a secure cloud system and backed up on two separate solid-state drives (one stored safely in a fireproof case). I take every reasonable step I can to safeguard your memories, so even in the rarest of technical hiccups, your photos should be safe.
Are the photos ours?
Of course. You’ll get high-resolution, watermark-free digital photographs in jpeg format ready for printing, sharing, and downloading as often as you like. They’re all yours to enjoy.
